About Me
Nearly every aspect of being a photographer brings great joy to my life. I can bring the best out of the people I photograph in the minimal time I have to work with them. Their happiness with the images I create is the ultimate service I can provide as a photographer. Everyone has a calling; mine is to create portraits that connect the subject to their audience.
I love creating portraits of spaces and things, as well. I see the world in terms of visual stories, so each assignment is an opportunity to create an emotionally-moving image of an otherwise static space or thing. In my years of teaching photography, I learned that everybody and everything has a story to tell, which can be told in one still image. I rise to this challenge every day. After more than 25 years, I am still excited about creating two-dimensional images of this three-dimensional world that inspire others to appreciate and connect with people, places, and things.
